ZBA Public Meeting May 25, 2017 6:00 PM
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public meeting will be held by the Zoning Board of Appeals of the Town of Vestal, Broome County, New York in the Board Room located at 605 Vestal Parkway West, Vestal, New York, 13850 on Thursday, May 25, 2017 to consider the following requests for an interpretation and/or variance and/or special permit and or old business as follows:
1) At 6:00 p.m. regarding Tax Map #205.02-1-15, known as 2201 Kathleen Drive, Vestal, NY for an area variance as required by Chapter 24, Article IV, Division 2, Section 24-180(b)(3)(a) of the Code of the Town of Vestal, Broome County New York pertaining to having less than the required front yard setback in an "RA-1, One Family Residence District. The applicants have applied to the Zoning Board of Appeals for relief, and are requesting a variance to be able to build a deck walkway and an attached garage addition. A 7 foot variance is requested.
2) At 6:20 p.m. regarding Tax Map #189.20-1-16, known as 313 Rayelene Drive, Vestal, NY a building permit to construct a rear addition has been denied to Jason & Lisa Blackwell for nonconformity with Chapter 24, Article IV, Division 2, Section 24-180(b)(3)(a) of the Code of the Town of Vestal, Broome County, New York pertaining to having less than the required front yard setback in an "RA-1", One Family Residence District. The applicant has decided to apply to the Zoning Board of Appeals for relief, and is requesting a 7’-10" +/- front yard variance to be able to build a 16’ x 16’ addition along with a deck. The owners established that the front yard, for zoning purposes, is Cole Place [24-180(b)(3)(a)]. If this variance is approved, the other building setbacks will be in compliance with no other variances needed.
3) At 6:40 p.m. old business regarding Tax Map #157.58-2-6 - 860 Vestal Empire, LLC
In addition to the above scheduled hearings, all previously heard applications to the Zoning Board of Appeals may be discussed by the Zoning Board of Appeals and acted upon, as well as discussion of other Zoning Board of Appeals business.
